Universal credit roll out in Hounslow

Universal Credit full roll out in the London Borough of Hounslow

From 27 January 2016, all claimants of working age in the London Borough of Hounslow* can claim Universal Credit (UC), whether single, couple, with/without children, with/without illness/disability. UC has substituted means-tested benefits like Income Support, Jobseekers’ Allowance, Employment and Support Allowance and Housing Benefit, among others.  In most cases you must claim UC if you are making a new benefit claim or if you have reported a change of circumstances that affects an existing claim under the old benefits system (for example you were on benefits and a partner moves in/out, or you become un/employed, a new addition to the family, etc).
